The Incompetency Continues

dejected looking young men and crowd in front of a section of the collapsed bridgeWho can forget the scenes from the I-35W Mississippi River bridge (officially known as Bridge 9340) which on August 1, 2007, suddenly collapsed, killing 13 people and injuring 145.

Well, our incompetent County Executive John Stoffa apparently has. And now we get to run around like chickens without heads trying to figure out what we're going to do with the many bridges that we have in disarray.

We really made a tremendous mistake electing Mr. Stoffa. He has truly turned out to be inapt, inept, unqualified, and less than fit to handle his position as County Executive. He will definitely go down in NorCo's history as the worst CE the county has elected. What a legacy to leave behind.

Emergency personnel running on the collapsed bridge and two Minneapolis Fire Department boats in the water with dozens of observers on the bank of the MississippiCould we have imagined that John Stoffa would take a position to sue the taxpayers with their own money, dig his heels in, and then pull the trigger? No we could not.

Could we imagine that in the mean time Stoffa would forget about all his other responsibilities like the bridges which he is now so concerned about. You know...the ones that would have made more sense to tend to than suing the taxpayers over the Gracedale Petition Initiative? No we could not.

The county believed then that he could handle the responsibilities, because he painted a pretty picture...but evidently, he could not - because as of today, he has not.

He was quoted in the Express Times on July 8th, 2012 saying: "My biggest fear is that one will collapse with a school bus," speaking about the 119 bridges NorCo is responsible for, in whole or in part, forcing the questions - why was he not concerned before? And, why was it so much more important to sue the taxpayers? Who will again be placed behind the eight ball with another $20 million dollar ticket!

It wasn't bad enough that he threw away $27.275 Million dollars on the SWAPTION...Now he wants $20 million to commence urgently needed bridge repairs, the paper reports that he requires "$14.8 million to replace 20 bridges and $3.4 million to repair 22 more,"...wait a minute - that translates to $18.2 million, so why exactly is he seeking $20 million?

Well, surely he built in a cushion that he can use for some other pet project, as he continues to plot the destruction of our County.

Does It Always Have To Be Like This?

No, of course not!

The condition and direction of NorCo is merely a choice County Executive John Stoffa has made!

Sell Gracedale, a choice that John Stoffa made. Sue the tax payers using taxpayers funds, a choice that John Stoffa made. Run Gracedale into the ground by not maintaining it, a choice that John Stoffa, many bad choices.

And no - there is no design on The Peoples part to torment County Executive John Stoffa, we are simply holding him accountable for the many poor decisions he has made, and in some cases, his inability to make good and sound decisions - which by the way, is our God given right to do so...and yes, there is a difference.

On the other hand, what John Stoffa has subjected COAF to, as well as the county taxpayers who have stood up for Gracedale by unleashing his henchman on them, is clearly an attempt to torment...or better said - to persecute his opposition. What Stoffa's trusted follower does not seem to understand however, is why his rabid techniques are not working!

Well, let's see if we can help him comprehend...follow us closely follower of Stoffa - when you live in a glass house, if you throw stones it is possible that you may break your own house. What do you mean you don't understand? Okay, try reading our lips...if - you - live - in - a - glass - house...ahhh - you get the point, your just playing ignorant. Oh...really - your not playing? How sad!

Well let's see if you understand this buddy - County Executive John Stoffa has deceived the entire county, he said he would protect Gracedale during his campaign, and he made promises to get elected, and then re-elected, which were all less than truthful. How do we know that? Well, he went to Gracedale to asked for the residents and employees support, dining them with his false promises. And what about his meeting with COAF at the 911 building? Where he ate their cake, and told them what he believed they wanted to hear...not realizing that when they said "we will get the signatures" they were telling him the absolute TRUTH.

But of course he didn't really take COAF serious when they told him they would get the required signatures to put the referendum question on the ballot...so he told them - go ahead, try and cross the line...and then they really messed things up for him when they in fact crossed the finish line.

Stoffa's head began to spin out of control, and he didn't know what to do...but then again - does he ever know what to do? No...not really! Consider that during last Thursdays county council meeting he was asked some very basic and simple questions by County Councilman Lamont McClure, all of a sudden - Stoffas head began to spin again, and his lips began to move spewing out the question "can you repeat the question?" He appeared very dumbfounded. Apparently he is incapable of keeping up with simple questions asked slowly...he was very confused and disorientated.

And then there is the time that he promised COAF he would not go beyond his first court case against the people...just another LIE, because as soon as he lost...his head started to spin again, and he sued the people again!

We The People do not believe that a price can be placed on a human life. And morally, we believe that we must care for those who can not care for themselves any longer.

Is it right to push aside or discard the many who have been more than instrumental in life to this point, just because they are ill and fighting the decay of a fallen world? No...of course not, unless you're County Executive John Stoffa.

The Problem In Nazareth...

...Is Bernard O'Hare III!

The people of Nazareth, a quite and pleasant little town, have one big nasty resident/renter - who in my opinion should be evicted for his distasteful remarks about the elderly of Nazareth. http://lehighvalleyramblings.blogspot.com/2012/07/nazareth-home-of-old-farts.html

Bernie, at your age  you don't seem to understand that you are but a step away from a nursing home yourself...or the grave.

10 out or 10 people pass away Bernie - your no exception...so why do you mistreat everyone - and especially our elderly. They have not wronged you in any way, so why do you persecute them?

Are you afraid of growing old? Are you afraid of death? As an elderly person yourself, have some dignity, stop hurling insults at the innocent people of Nazareth who have harm you not. And the rest of the world for that matter.

Know that in your current spiritual state - there is but one place for you - it's called HELL...stop and consider your evil actions and ways before it is too late - and then turn from them.

I know that you believe that I am a fake Reverend Bernie, and I'm okay with that because you're entitled to believe what ever you want to. Understand however, that simply because you believe something to be true doesn't make it so. That's why I'm not bothered by your ignorant remarks...but, as a true servant of God Bernie, who honors Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior - I am very concerned for your soul. Many people like you don't take this serious...and then they die.

To pass-on in your current evil state means eternal damnation Bernie...that's not good in any way. As much as you have persecuted me - I still see you as a brother in Christ...and have no desire to see you end up in the Lake of Fire.

Perhaps you feel like no one cares about you Bernie, and perhaps because of your devious deeds many do not...and even though I have been forced by you to fight you on the Gracedale issue...I DO care about you - so much so that I have forgiven you for all your misdeeds against me - but you MUST turn from your evil ways - repent, so that more importantly - God can forgive you.

Show the world that you too can be a witness and testimony for Jesus. When it is all said and done Bernie...it will be you standing alone before Jesus for Judgment, (no Stoffa and no Angle) just you alone - what will you say when he ask...why didn't you listen to my messenger(s)?

With that said...know that regardless of the names you or anyone else calls me - I will continue to fight in the Glorious Name of Jesus for the welfare of Gracedale...the home of Gods children, the home of the widows and orphans of NorCo.

As you have come to know by now, evil will never triumph over the righteousness of Jesus, so it is fruitless to continue trying.

Stop Persecuting our elderly, or suffer the consequence to come.

A Transforming Northampton County

ron angle at groundbreaking, horizontalFirst, let us begin this post by recognizing that for the first time in recent history, and memory...we have begun to heal the wounds caused by the ousted Councilman Ron Angle, in collusion of course with sitting County Executive John Stoffa.

And while we still must deal with the less than trustworthy Mr. Stoffa...it is safe to say that we are in the process of rebuilding the bridges destroyed by their greed.

They both enlisted the help of the
less than reputable or honest, Bernard O'Hare III, who sells his intimidation techniques to the highest political bidder with no remorse for his evil actions, aimed at destroying the target(s) of his benefactors, regardless of their innocence.

The spiraling out of control O'Hare, who was condemn as a liar by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court for his sinister treatment of his clients while practicing law...and who as a result likewise lost his license and privilege to practice law in the great State of Pennsylvania.  He could never envisioned what was to come...We The People.

Ironically...Bernie has also lost his browbeating, hectoring, and bullying powers when he met COAF. They had a paralyzing effect on him, much like raid has on a cockroach.

O'Hare, Stoffa, and Angle were all affected by COAF, in the same way that a police officer affects a criminal. Thank goodness for our dedicated police, and for COAF - protectors of our widows and orphans.

These three men have done more to harm Northampton County than any other 300 combined...but, enough said about these culprits.

The most important factor at the moment is the reality that we now have a governing body prepared as demonstrated by their actions, to commence the rebuilding of bridges process that will re-establish the trust, and the relationship between - the governing body and it's people.

Amazing - in less than a year, the bi-partisan five transformed into the magnificent seven...and we can't really ask for more than that...until election time of course.

You, "The Magnificent Seven"  have earned - We The Peoples seal of approval.

Yes - GREAT JOB - all evidence indicates that we, together, are finally on our way.

May God continue to Bless your efforts!

Let's Be Clear On The Wound Care Team

Last Fall, Northampton County Council did contract Premiere to manage and administrate Gracedale, however, it created the Gracedale Advisory Board to advise on operations - not to oversee operations. Furthermore, GAB was not created in the fall as is implied on BO's blog...but earlier this spring, and they did not have their first organizational meeting until just this past June. The topic of the Wound Care Team was brought up, but...it was kind of dismissed with a wait-and-see conclusion due to their not-organized status.

Now, we're not being critical of GAB, after all, they had just formed and are in the process of establishing themselves before really taking the bull by the horns. We get that...but the impression presented that GAB had not had an opportunity to discuss the matter is inaccurate.

Unlike BO, we did not see a divided council - we witnessed County Council at it's very best in years. Lamont McClure introduced the resolution that We The People had asked for. And Council in a very civil manner discussed all opinions and concluded by a 5-3 vote that keeping the WCT in place was the right thing to do.

No one was hostile...no one called anyone one names...and John Stoffa did not get his way.

And what BO failed to mention in his slanted piece was that it would probably have been 7-1 if Mr. Cusick and Mr. Dietrick were not so concerned about the issue going before GAB again for their recommendation. Neither indicated that they wanted to see the WCT disbanded...in fact, the opposite appeared true.

BO goes on to say "Gracedale does have a lower number of residents with bed sores than you'll find in most nursing homes, and most staffers are convinced that this is the result of the efforts of a specialized wound care team at the facility." Most staffers? We love you Bernie, but...come on - everyone in health care, and in the county, and country for that matter, understands just how vital a WCT is. With two exceptions of course - you and John.

Bruce Gilbert expressed his own slanted concerns about micromanaging, but Ken Kraft nipped it in the butt quickly saying: "That's our job, to micromanage the manager." In our opinion - Bruce needs to conceal his strings just a little bit better. It was quite apparent that he was siding with John Stoffa as he normally does, just for the sake of doing so. You see, it really does not matter what garbage John is selling, Bruce is always buying.

McClure reproved the idea that Council was micromanaging, instead he presented the viewpoint that it was Councils duty to manage the managers they place in management positions. And We The People agree with that position. And then McClure asked the pincipal question "Why would we ever stop doing the things we do well?" BO writes that "the pro-Gracedale crowd broke into applause." Well, in our opinion, it was not just the pro-Gracedale crowd, but, all the reasonable people in the crowd who understood and agreed with the response.

With regard to Premier's failure to be present to explain their position on this matter - as we stated in an earlier post, We The People believe that they too are being set up for failure by the County Executive John Stoffa. Remember, Premier falls directly under his control. And if BO really senses that Premier made two very big mistakes, he should also sense that County Executive John Stoffa made one catastrophic mistake - he turned his back on We The People. And for that...he should be concerned!

The resolution to keep the Wound Care Team in place was supported by:
Lamont McClure, Scott Parsons, Peg Ferraro, Ken Kraft and Bob Werner.
Nay Sayer's were:
John Cusick,Tom Dietrich, Bruce Gilbert.
Barbara Thierry was MIA.

Wound Care Team Remains In Place

GREAT news for Gracedale - by a 5 to 3 (1 absent) vote, County Council passed a resolution to keep the Wound Care Team in place.

There was much discussion, and a vote to table the matter until the next meeting to give an opportunity for the newly formed Gracedale Advisory Group to consider the matter and render an opinion, as well as the Human Services Department. However, in the end - RIGHT prevailed.

The greatest reality is that County Council performed the way a good governing body is supposed to. And we must say, were impressed with the intelligent discussion (with one exception) and with the evidence that some - who were not initially sure that passing such a resolution was the correct thing to do...went out and did their homework, discovering it was the correct thing to do.

And now we also know for sure that our County Executive John Stoffa was in fact behind the bright idea to disband the WCT, because he exposed himself when he stood up to the podium to implore the Council to put off the resolution vote until they have more information.

Reasonable heads instead said...we have all the information we need right now.

County Council for doing the right thing.

Stay tuned - more details to follow tomorrow.

Speaking Softly

We The People have never asked anyone in local government to do anything for The People in a less than a humble voice, and a humble manner - but it surely seems that we have been forced time and time again to repeat ourselves...why?

We don't believe that a price can be placed on a human life. And morally, we believe that we must care for those who can no longer care for themselves.

Is it right to push aside or discard the many who have been more than instrumental in their lives, simply because they are ill, fighting the decay of a fallen world?

No, to a reasonable person...it's actually wrong!

We The People have stood up, and will continue to stand up for Gracedale because our love for humanity is boundless. Love can be define in many different ways - but true and sincere love from the heart will always equal care.

If we sincerely care about each other, our posterity, and especially our elders...we must not disband the Wound Care Team. Doing so can only be detrimental to the residents of Gracedale.

Some place so much value on things that matter least...while placing no value on things that matter most. We The People - simply stated, cannot comprehend that.

We cannot fathom the thought process of a person like County Executive John Stoffa, who would over-tax the taxpayers to throw away 27.250 million dollars, and yet, is not willing to spend wisely the tax dollars that he has been authorized by the taxpayers to spend - on what matters most to us...PEOPLE.

In 2011, We The People elected a new council to assist the existing council in doing - not just what they believe is in the best interest of The People...but what they know is genuine, and right for all the people of the county.

Today, humbly we ask County Council again...PLEASE, introduce and pass a resolution that will prevent this foolish act of disbanding Gracedale's much needed Wound Care Team from taking place. The taxpayers, and most importantly the residents of Gracedale thank you for doing so.
