Great Meeting

At the NorCo council meeting last night, the Coalition read a powerful letter that took aim at the injustices of the CC, especially the chair. It appears the Coalition will send there correspondences to the ACLU to discover if their rights have been violated. (it surely apperars they have)

The great news came at the end of the meeting when the CC chair began to question the Executive Solicitor Department. The questions related directly to the new Coalition petition which is currently in circulation. The chair wanted to know ultimately if the petition is successful, and it came before CC, what will the CC options be? They were informed that they will be able to approve it, or disapprove it. The chair then asked what will happen if they disapprove it? And he was informed that it will go back to the Election Commission. The chair asked, what then? He was informed that the question will then be put on the ballot.

As this viewer understood it, if the Coalition is successful in getting the required signatures, after some probable legal maneuver's, there really is nothing that the CC can do to prevent it from being placed on the spring ballot. Which, in our great country, is they way that democracy is intended to work.

Please attend the upcoming Sunday meeting at 2 p.m. The Coalition, as well as other dignitaries of the county and state will be present to discuss this matter further.

God Bless America...and God bless the Coalition

  1. the spring ballot question would do you little good if gracedale is sold before then. perhaps you should investigate getting an injunction against a sale, until which time your approved petition succeeds(or fails) in signatures to establish a ballot question, which in turn would determine the will of the citizens.

also, no offense intended, but you may well need the media, both established and blogosphere, to attain that many signatures. there did appear to be rudeness exhibited against o'hare. he is entitled to oppose your efforts, as i am to support them.

  2. An injuction is the way to prevent the sale only if a sale is in effect, which is not the case yet. Also I am certain that the Coalition is being properly advised and will persue that course if need be.

Regarding o'hare - he probably initiated the rudeness - I observed him puting his camera in the face of some of the residents attending, which was rude to do, but he did not seem to care. Relating to his blog - don't read it because it is always rude, and obnoxious, and often derogatory, as well as discriminating.

Yes, we are all entitled to our views and opinions - in a democracy such as ours, we should excercise our rights whenever we feel we need to, and when we do, we should not be critisized for doing so. I agree with you that Gracedale is an worhty effort.

  3. Doesn't matter now. Last 2011 budget meeting introduced the removal of 50% of county tax contributions. Forcing it to balance its books(increased fees, union concessions, etc.) or close its doors.

Good job, the few council members apposing the Gracedale budget cuts are now in favor after being attacked. Some council members now want 100% of county contributions cut.

So you might saved gracedale from sale, but now you will force its closure. Good job shutting it down.

  4. If the doors of Gracedale are closed it won't be the people closing them, it will be council. A budget was put on the table by Mr. Stoffa with gracedale open for the next year and no tax increase. Mr. Angle decided to create his own budget to suit his desires, ignoring the people. The Express times is in the midddle of a survey that shows clearly at 4:25 pm that 89.06 % feel that the voters should have their say, while only 10.94 feel that the officials should decide. Check it out - discover for yourself.

  7. People voted in Nov 2009. So this looks like a hijacking by special interest group, sharing only half truths with the public to get signatures. $6 million operation loss is like a 10% tax increase to cover it. Then include the extra $7-10 million in needed repairs and upgrades this year, that's another 10%+. So I don't want 25% tax increase for keeping over paid county workers.

Oh, money wasted this year needs to made up next, and next, and next. So a tax increase now, then, and forever...

  9. You deleted a comment that countered your claim to have conducted a great meeting. I saw it this afternoon before you went Poof! I was also at the meeting last night, personally witnessed your rude and offensive behavior, which was done without any regard for the young scouts in the audience. I have some of it on film, and the camera does not lie. You should all be ashamed of yourselves. There film from that meeting s also on the county's website, and is second revelation of your disruptive behavior.

The truth is that nobody has elected you to speak on their behalf. They elected County Council, not some woman from Kunkelown.

  10. I'll agree that you aren't very "discriminiating."

  11. Mr. O'Hare, we thank you for your comments. Please be corrected, we did not say that we conducted any meeting, we stated that it was a great meeting. We reserve the right, as do you with you blog, to remove comments that are intended for malicious puposes. We want to conduct a clean and civil blog, not a trash blog such as LVR which is certainly one sided. Again we thank you.

  12. How is it that Gracedale has been existing for so many decades and then suddenly it's not worth keeping. Gracedale is much needed and can sustain itself if managed properly. Let's do what's right for the elderly and disable which can't help themselves. Taxes will go up regardless, for one thing or another. The voters should definitely make the final decision.

  13. Hey Bernie - get a life man. While I was not at the meeting, i watched the video on line. I heard your partner in crime try to interupt the first coaf member reading the letter but she was too good and just keep reading not giving him the chance to cut her off. It was a powerful letter 2 wasn't it? i also heard him give 5 min then allowed his friend Chris Miller about eight min. The audince was not necesarily rude, they were just telling chris that time was up, and what about that, Ronnie then says he can speak as long as I say he can. man you guys are not too bright. you can't set a time limit, and then allow your boy more time, that's just stupid, and you make their case. Then you are clearly instigating the lady behind you, and the guys to your right too - be careful with the Reverend, he looks like he can take care of himself. LOL LOL LOL Bernie, I'm on your side but man this is not good for u guys. ur really 4lling apart.
