Never Done Before

Well ladies and gentlemen of Northampton County, the Coalition has taken on a tremendous task, and while they are confident that they will succeed, they probably cannot accomplish the undertaken without our help. As I understand it, the Coalition of Alzheimer's families is a volunteer group that is not benefiting in any way for what they are doing. They need us to help if they are to succeed. Understand that if they succeed, we the people succeed. If however, they fail, we can not blame them, we can only blame ourselves. The time to work is NOW, not later, not tomorrow...NOW. Enlist to help NOW.

While Rev. Martinez believes strongly that the Lord will deliver on His promises, he stated yesterday that we all must do our parts. Enlist now to help the voice of those of us who believe in this cause.

  1. why doesnt the people who sign the petition pay the 6 million in extra costs that Gracdedale looses? Its simple. why continue to burden the all taxpayer's in the county with what only a few benefit? Its simple- you family wants to place you in Gracedale instead of taking care of you at home then let those families pay the bill- I have nothing personal against the fine folks that are there nor anyone that works there but most folks are just getting by and cannot afford and more increased costs and the burden of Gracedale and taking care of other folks parnets-

  2. first of all I think that the people of the county should realize that Gracedale has given back money to the county. I have worked at Gracedale for over 30 years. Do the people of the county also realize that that money that was given back went to remodel the courthouse and the prison? Also the countys' past administrations did nothing to Gracedale for all the time I have been there. If as a homeowner you don't do any repairs to your home it will fall down around your ears. So, why is Gracedale a money pit? Because, county adminastrations left it happen. If the people that were in charge would have done what was needed over the years it wouldn't be in the shape it's in. Mr. Angel should have his head examined for what he is trying to do. You don't see him giving anything back! The employees at Gracedale get the same benifits as any other county worker.

  3. I would like to explane first: the residents that are at Gracedale have worked all their life and have payed taxes all their life. they gave to the county all those years. Gracedale gets there social security and or pention check. And there are self pay residents that pay over 7,500.00 a month for their care at Gracedale. These people have done nothing wrong in their life except grow old...so we should turn our back on them ? Not every one has a family to turn too, to care for them and some can not be cared for at home. Our taxes are going to go up no matter what. The county of Northampton should be doing all it can to save Gracedale. Where is our compassion this county use to have ---it has turned to greed sad to say

  4. I agree...I have heard Mr. Martinez say that there are more than 50 verses in the bible that speak on caring for the widows and ophans as he put it. While I'm not sure that selling Gracedale is good or bad, as I too am getting older I have to wonder where will I go if Gracedale is sold? I would ask everyone truly concerned with this issue to give that some consideration.
