Stangle On The Deception Path Again

WOW...didn't the ET say they were done reporting on Gracedale. Well they don't seem to have a problem reporting for Stangle. They did not call the other side so it seems they are a one-side newspaper reporting only what Stangles side says.

We would suggest anyone with a subscription to ET cancel it, perhaps that might change their reporting mis-practices.

  1. As a life long resident of Easton, I would have thought that Joe Owens would make every effort to present both sides. Why/ Because it is his job to enlighten the people.
Has he ever called to meet with the Spokesperson of COAF for an intervierw?
I would think not because I've never seen it.
Objectivity, I do not think so!

  2. When my subscription was up I did not renew. I spoke to Owens on the phone and told him why, he tried to talk me into keeping it. The Express has lost over 4000 subscibers in the last 3 years. In an article last fall Owens insists that is of no concern to him. I spoke to an operator at the paper who candidly told me it is a major problem and that they are worrying. Every single subscription is gold, the parent company will close them down if things don't improve. A boycott is necessary. Do what I do , I continue to read the paper, AT THE DUMP, when I do my recycling.

  3. The problem with Joe Owens it seems, is that he does not understand that the media is supposed to stand nuetral. That means in simple terms - you report the news, not try to manipulate it for your own or someone elses benefit.

  4. Perhaps you are correct in saying that citizens who would have simply wanted (with no new taxes) to give Gracedale a chance should cancel their subscriptions to the Express Times.
ROUGH TIMES AHEAD FOR SAFE HARBOR-the title of today's editorial.
Check out the last sentence,"It's time for a communitywide discussion about what needs to be done and who could do it best."
Instead of encouraging the sale of Gracedale as soon as possible over the past 8 months via FOUR(4) editorials with never an interview with a citizens group, now the newspaper's editors want to get the community involved.
Gracedale was never given this opportunity.
In Wingap, a few months ago, Angle actually said in public that he called for community/group discussions concerning Gracedale. While he was stating this mis-truth, Stoffa was shaking his head NO.
It now is very clear what and who our paper wants politically. Where is the EASTON EXPRESS when you need it.The paper has changed more than its name.
The Morning Call has been much more balanced when it comes to Gracedale.
That last sentence says it all.
Caring Democrats, Republicans, and Indepents, let's vote as a community on May 17 in order to bring our community together and send a message to Angle. After all, it seems that it is his fight because he cannot accept a chance for the people to VOTE!

  5. It's very interesting how Stoffa, Angle and O'Hare in their own ways have a declared defeat in the past few days. Don't believe it for a second. They are attempting to lull the COAF into complacency.

  6. Also, with respect to gentleman such as Mr. Owens of the Express and Mr. White of the Call, they need to be reminded that they enabled the likes of Mr. O'Hare.

  7. They now play act a slight sense of "contrition"
coupled with the "grandfatherly" "learned" "matter of fact" this is what will happen if we keep it ploy. Bernie was a lawyer, you know a large part of that is play acting. The article stated it could be revisted in 2 years. Well, what it didn't state was that in two years the complextion of the council will be that of to keep Gracedale. This as they have created a huge wedge issue. The voters will need to know prior to the election on where you stand on this issue. It will be on the forefront of every election for years to come. And you know, they caused this all by themselves.
Hopefully Dowd will be gone in May, Angle in November, and the others next year. We seed the council with pro Gracedale members. I'm sure the blogger will say it will be bad, that only Ron can do a great job on council. There is a saying
Cemetarys are filled with men who thought they could not be replaced.
Someone is ready to step up and do your job as well or better if you die......or get voted out.

  8. Bernie must be sitting around his apartment dressed in drag. He is posting as Brenda, amazing stuff. All of a sudden "she" is a researcher. With a bit of venom spewing from his/her fingertips. I guess he is smarting from the lackluster attendence and adoration at Rons going away party last night.
