...Who lost the their lives at Sandy Hook, Newtown, CT.There are no words that can be used to truly comfort the devastated hearts of family members of the children and adults lost during a young mans moment of madness.
I cannot imagine the pain of such a lost, so sudden, and so tragic.
All I can do at a moment like this is pray and share Jesus.
John 3:16 tells us - For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son, that all who believe in Him shall not parish, but have eternal life.
I thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for giving his life, that we may all live in him.
I trust the victimized children are now in the loving arms of Jesus. And I hope and pray the adults are as well.Scripture tells us: And He called a child to Himself and set him before them, and said, "Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 18:2-3)
Then some children were brought to Him so that He might lay His hands on them and pray; and the disciples rebuked them. But Jesus said, "Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." (Matthew 19:13-14)
There are no easy answers to such a horrific event...and only Jesus can truly heal the pain. Seek him first, and you can know that he will not forsake the children, and he will not forsake you...who trust in Him. Amen.

ReplyDeleteIt is the worst of the worst. Over the summer I lost great neighbor and friend. The grief was unimaginable, but nowhere near losing 27 on the same day.

ReplyDeleteThe Presidnt did a great job and I had tears in my eyes throughout the entire service. This is why we must all be a community that cares for each other.
My good friend Bernie's blog post was aimed at getting people with mental health issues evaluated and to prevent these poor souls from having LTC's/access to weapons. It should be a collective goal to prevent tragedies like the Newton shooting.

ReplyDeleteHe cannot get over it. He cannot control his venom. Instead he tries to relieve his anxiety with frivolous lawsuits and a heap of trash print on his vortex of disinformation and outright lies.
But hey, if this is what he chooses, then the world is s safer place. It would be a true travesty to society if he redirected his undercurrent rage by excecising his 2nd amendment rights. For that, we should all be very grateful.
Just like the parent of one deceased child has forgiven the crime, I have had no choice but to forgive the unjust smearing of my name that seems to be his daily and frightening obsession , over being jilted 18 months ago.
A true psycho on a pseudo-journalistic warpath, is a psycho who needs some mental help. I hope he gets it, but I'm not holding my breath.
