What Did He Say???

Bernard O'Hare said that: "Exec John Stoffa speaks quietly and carries a big checkbook".

What O'Hare failed to mention is that the check book belongs to the taxpayers of Northampton. As it now appears, he will continue to squander our tax resources however he can as he did in Stoffa-Gift where he used tax dollars to sue the taxpayers.

The current concern for most of the taxpayers of NorCo is that Mr. Stoffa is going to WASTE our tax resources on things that matter least before he makes his grand exit.

Now he wants to put Central Park in the Lehigh valley...right, how much of our hard-earned money will he waste on such a project, and why would he want to do that in these hard economic times?

Right now what the Valley needs is more jobs, and less waste.

The elections can't come fast enough, and in the mean time we must continue to endure the wasteful "MISUSE" spending of John Stoffa. Hopefully the County Council will not approve any foolish spending. but four out of the five running are not seeking re-election (obviously they understand they won't win), so it is definitely possible that they will let John Stoffa do whatever he wants to, and they can all leave us, the new Exec, and Council, a financial mess to contend with.

For this reason we must select the best of the best out there.

  1. Word on the street is, When so many people are in need He wants to spend money on a park? The county is cutting services. We need a park? We need to help people first. The taxpayers come first.

    1. What services did the county cut?

  2. You must have a great deal of money to prefer a park over the many people in the Lehigh Valley who have no jobs nor enough money to meet their monthly needs.
Also, your mustach remark smacks at racism, not literature.
Place your park on the ballot and allow the real people of NORCO to speak.

  5. I supported Gracedale and I also support this park. It is not the job of government to creat jobs, government only creates an atmosphere conduicive to job creation. Ensuring a good quality of life for future generations is a part of that. I implore you to thoroughly research this park before you speak too much on the topic.

    1. This post was about how Stoffa has gone on a spending spree. All he is doing is spending money now. I am sure the coalition is receptive to doing positive things in the community, they always have demonstrated that desire.

But consider just how Stoffa lied to all of NC about taxes having to go up to keep Gracedale in county hands. Now it seems like he hit the lottery.

And when his nutty friend puts out that Stoffa has a big check book, it is concerning.

Stoffa could have paid off the swaption under ten million too, but chose instead to hurt the community by allowing it to reach 27 million dollars.

With that amount of money we could have taken care of Gracedale for years to come and built tremendous park or two.

remember if you to hit the ball out of the park, you have to keep your eye on it.

    2. This money is dedicated to open space however. The voting public supports that.

  8. Sounds to me that bo and stoffa have not learned their lesson yet. They are only hurting themselves.
The entire county knows how angle, stoffa, and bo lied about the taxes and the tax rate in order to convince the public that we had no money for Gracedale.
Now,however, we seem to have money for everything.
The public is not as dumb as these elitists think.
Spite? BO and stoffa are already has beens. It is hard for them to swallow.

  9. It is trtue. Bernie and his poison posse are on a full scale vicious attack of the COAF, especially Rev.M and Maryann. Of course Maryann is not even in the area now but on vacation. O'Hare still tears into her. He loves to attack m=weomne(Trish and MaryAnn and etc.) maybe he should see a psychologist.

The haters claim the COAF hates the project yet that is not what I am reading. You are asking legitinate questions. If the ocunty is so broke that we can't afford Gracedale, if we can't take care of county buildings and let two of them rot for the past seven years, where is the money coming from.

O'Har ekeeps talking about the half percent tax increase for open space but that is just smoke and mirrors. State law forbids designating any portion of County Real Estate tax for anyhting but the geneeral fund. The money is thrown in the pot with the rest of the money.

For all of O'Hares ranitng about candidates he isn't talking about how he is circulating a Callahan petition and some other caniddates petitions as well.

He calls it his Stoffa coalition because they promise to carry on the Stoffa legacy.

    1. We most certainly are in favor of anything that is presented properly to the taxpayers - giving the taxpayers an opportunity to share their views.

The issue with this particular item is what John Stoffa told the taxpayers all along - we had no money to help Gracedale sustain itself. If you recall that was the reason for the sale, the County was broke - Although we had better than 62 Million in surplus at the time

Recently he has spent tax dollars on an archive building (needed) and he has overextended the County on a new Human Resources building, and now this park.

Are these items necessary? Yes we are sue they may be, but so is Gracedale. And he lied to us, telling us there was no money...so where is all this money coming from? Oh, yes...by the way, we do have 40 million in surplus.

John Stoffa, Ron Angle, and the nonsensical ignoramus all lied about Gracedale, and now we can't trust anything that John Stoffa says or wants to do.

We want the best for Norco, hence, the reason we have stayed involved. But we must continue a vigilant eye or they will truly leaves us broke!

    2. Again, this money will come from dedicated open space money, not the general budget. It would be wrong and immoral to use open space money for anything other than it's intended purpose. The voting public would have a field day with anyone trying to do such.

  11. O'Hare and Stoffa and Angle and Thierry won't rest until they have destroyed Gracedale's Unions AND the COAF. So I support COAF making sure they DON'T!

  12. Yep! They just agreed to spend millions to lease a human service building that wasnt needed because they want to make sure there is no money for Gracedale..All of these supposed fiscally conservative Republicans voted to waste all this money on this stupid building..Why?????? Why else..Less money for Gracedale..That's why that slimeball OHairy kept pushing that. He figured his buddy callahan will come in and say, oops, no more money for gracedale..Gotta go private...Get out there and work for Council people who are supporting gracedale so no matter who is executive the idea of a sale will never occur again..Hopefully you all survive this year though..

  13. It isn'tjust about the County Executive, I believe the COAF are also supporting good solid County Council candidates as well. Actions over words!

  14. Stoffa is a LIAR many times over. Proof: His claim that taxes would have to go up 18% unless he got to sell Gracedale. He is a totally devious and evil man who wants his own way.

OMG! I just heard that O'Hairy's priest buddie, the angry priest, just got caught and exposed, no pun intended, for touching the little ones in public. Is this true Bernie? This is the man that you call your friend and is your buddy? He is the one that you go to confession to? That figures that you flock to the birds of the same feathers. He is a fake just like you and the rest of your poison posse.

    2. All these guys hang together. Just look at Alfundo Todd who is running for A-town City Council. He regularly does business with this type of people. The angry priest used to stick up for Todd and O'Hairy on all the local blogs.
