Looking To The New Year

Good to be back.

The Coalition of Alzheimer's families decided not to continue to blog over the Christmas week out of respect for what the season represents. We sincerely hope that it was a blessing for all.

We would like to take this opportunity to wish all a happy, safe, and prosperous New Year.

As we approach the end of 2010, let us remember what our strife this past year has been about...regardless what Mr. Angle, and his BO say about the Coalition, or Rev. Martinez, or the Gracedale Employees, or the Union...it is not about any of those elements, it has always been about defending the rights of the residents of Gracedale, both present and future.

NorCo, make no mistake about it, all that the demon seed Angle has been trying to do by slandering our group is taking the focus off of the real issue SELLING GRACEDALE.

Does it really matter who makes up this well intentioned Coalition? Of course not. But, if Angle can distract us by shifting our focus to the empty hand, while hiding the other, he will ultimately accomplish his goal of selling the NorCo Gem - Gracedale.

When we say hiding the other hand, keep in mind that by the power of his evil ways, Angle has lead astray the entire council, who unfortunately for the County have not opened their eyes to his wickedness. 

Consider that even Councilman Rev. Dowd who once suggested that we may be moving too fast with this issue, and that Gracedale should perhaps be given at least another year or two to restructure and get back on track, has us now wondering if he will be part of the demise of Gracedale, and of the Widows and the Orphans that reside there. We believe that rev. Dowd has been conned and mesmerized by Angle's illusions, and we appeal to his greater Christian judgement. In the mean time, Angle will continue to hide the truth not only from The People, but also from many of the Council members as well.

THE NUMBERS - As our deadline January 17, 2011 approaches, let us continue to push forward. On Sunday, January 2, 2011, the coalition will have a notary at Gracedale to continue to receive the petitions as they come in. Please bring in any petitions, regardless of how many names are on the petition. The important thing at this juncture is to begin collecting all petitions to understand exactly how many names we have, and how many more we need. As previously reported, we currently have 5000+ names that we know of on hand. Without having received our last drives numbers yet, we can only anticipate we have at least another 1k from that drive. if that is the case, we should be over 16000, short by about 3966.

NorCo VOTERS, the time is near. As our spokesperson would say - "We must get rid of everything that slows us down, especially the evil that distracts us. We must run the race that lies ahead of us and never give up, staying focused on the source and goal of our faith".

Angle Buys The Morning Call Newspaper - Disgraceful - Part 2

"Gracedale nursing home is on the market and could fetch $30 million. A funding deal for Bethlehem's SteelStacks performing arts center will net the county more money than originally anticipated. And, next year's budget is balanced a month early without a tax increase. Angle couldn't have gotten this far alone. The so-called Slate Belt bulldog relies on the support of an overwhelming conservative majority — Republicans outnumber Democrats 7-2 — and a patient, practical executive in Democrat John Stoffa."

"No matter what he says about me I still love him and that's not something he's used to," said Stoffa, who campaigned on a promise to develop better relations with council. In clashes with Stoffa's predecessor, Angle accused Glenn Reibman of wasting tax dollars and likened his administration to Hitler's Third Reich."

Gracedale was first said to probably bring in $35 million dollars, then 30, then 25 to 28. The truth is that the bids came in much much lower, or they surely would have revealed the numbers.

Oh, yeah, even the republicans don't care for Angles antics, they too are starting to move away from him. We will see how far in May.

The budget was reported to have been padded so that Angle could look good. The problem is that no matter what Angle does, he never looks good. That is because The People know who and what he truly is.

Angle was once overheard saying to another politician, "you will never get far in politics because your too honest" WOW, since the Mcall has reported the Angle has gone so far, we guess that means that Angle must be real dishonest.

Who would have thought Angle is dishonest? Only 92.22 percent of the Express Times readers. Oh, by the way, ET is proving to be a better read than Mcall these days. Perhaps we will drop our subscription of the Mcall and sign up for the ET.

Regarding Stoffa, we actually believe that Mr. Angle has promised Stoffa something good for his retirement. See, we know that Stoffa does not care for Angle much. But hey, he has to play the game. After all, he is on his last leg in politics.

Angle Buys The Morning Call Newspaper - Disgraceful - Part 1

First, we believe that Jenna is not the true author of this article. Smells like BO to us. Only BO writes this kind of drivel for his male friend Angle.

"Measured. Reserved. Humble. Until recently, no one would have used these words to describe Ron Angle — an unlikely statesman who's built a record of bizarre behavior over three decades in the public eye. On the radio, Angle spewed what some critics said was bigotry, threatened to take a power drill to a locked cabinet full of teacher performance reports and inspired a code of conduct intended to rein in his antics."

Measure? Reserved? HUMBLE??? - Yeah right. No one that knows Angle, or even heard of him, and that hasn't been bought by Angle, would ever say anything like this puke.

His critics didn't just feel like calling him a bigot, he made comments that were deserving of the title. The man is a racist that attacks the Blacks and the Jewish people very much like Hitler did - well after all, he does resemble Hitler, doesn't he?.

Angles behavior has always been bizarre, because he is mentally cracked. What mentally rational person would take a power drill to open a locked file cabinet that he is not supposed to have access to? Perhaps a thief.

Mr. Angle inspired a code of conduct by his despicable conduct...not excactly something that anyone should be proud of. Surprisingly, the Mcall, by this crappy article must feel that Angle is a person that should be lifted high. Sure, he is great example for our youth. Just remember that following Mr. Angle will get you jail - just ask his son RAJ.

Open Meetings? What Has Transpired - Part 3

The ET artical continues by saying that "A committee of County officials will receive presentations from each company". Once again we ask, who exactly are the county officials, and are these commitee meeting/presentations going to be open to Joe public? Or are they going to be secret meetings as was the case with the opening of the bids?

More concerning is ET also reported that Mr. Conklin stated "Price is not the only consideration. The companies must guarantee the facility remain a nursing home for a to-be-determind period. And it must cater to residents on medicaid".

Listen up NorCo taxpayers, members of CC, including Mr. Angle have openly told us that no one can guarantee anything in life, but death and taxes. What exactly then, do they mean by a "to-be-determind period".

Lets see if we can figure this out - they say to a potential buyer, for XX period of time the facility must remain a nursing home, after that, you can do as you will.

And then what? It becomes a condo, or perhaps a co-op? Or maybe even a resort hotel, who knows what plans some eager investment firm may have for our beloved Gracedale?

Mr. Conklin, Mr. Stoffa, you are both brighter bulbs than the darkened Angle, so grow a pair, and show Angle the way.

A Range Of Estimates - What has Transpired - Part 2

Mr. John Conklin, Director of Administration under Mr. Stoffa, was quoted by ET as saying that the five companies who's proposals were screened had submitted a range of of estimates of what they would be willing to spend on Gracedale.

The report also said that Mr. Conklin however, did not release the figures because he said that he wanted the firms to have time to study the facility more closely and refine those estimates.

Hmm. What we are hearing here is that the estimates came in low, lower of course than expected. It appears that what the genius real estate guru Mr. Angle who owns better than 60 real estate properties failed to calculate was that in this buyers market, the bids for any real estate properties would probably come in low.

Ask Mr. Angle how much time he spends in the court house trying to pick up foreclosures that went south because of this market. Ask him if he would sell his properties in this weak market...oh, wait, yes he would. He does have a property or two up in the slate belt that he is trying, and we mean trying to sell because he does not want to do the repairs that are necessary according to the inspectors in that neck of the woods.

Oh, by the way, do The People know that he is known as a slum-lord in that neck of the woods? Yes, that's right, a slum-lord. We have been inform by reliable sources that he has also been heard saying that if that group (meaning COAF) is successful, I'll run it into the ground (meaning Gracedale), hmm.

What is truly quite concerning is that Mr. Conklin went on to say that "we want to protect the firms until they can have other people come out and go through Gracedale with a fine tooth comb". WHAT???

First, let us point out that he mentioned "protecting the firms" - not protecting Gracedale, nor The People of NroCo that he, Mr. Stoffa, and Council work for. And most important of all, the residents of Gracedale.

Second, consider that he mentions "refining the estimates". Mr. Conklin appears to be brighter than Angle, can he really believe that after "the other people go through Gracedale with a fine tooth comb" that the figures are actually going to rise? Perhaps Angle told him to say that. Hmm.

In the real world Mr. Conklin, as Mr. Angle would say, in all probability the figures will go down after any issues are discovered by the potential buyer's. Ask Mr. Angle, that's exactly what he would do, lower the price...isn't that right Mr. Angle?

Harrisburg? - What Has Transpired - Part 1

Mr. Stoffa was quoted in the ET saying "I guess if I had to do over again I would have insisted they be opened here". He was referring to the bids for Gracedale, which as many of you know by now, Mr. Angle had them moved to Harrisburg as a scheme to serve himself.

Don't be fooled, Mr. Stoffa is also afraid of Mr. Angle, so he will go along, but the captain at the helm is Angle. He is truly the one responsible. We will point out that it does not matter where the law firm is based, they could have been based on the other side of the globe, they work for CC, and if CC said we want the bids opened in NorCo, the law firm as long as they are paid, would have complied. No fooling The People here.

Taxpayers of NorCo, be informed: the reason that RFP's (request for proposals), or RFQ's (qualifications) are as a general rule opened publicly, is so that there is no perception of improprieties. This in simple terms means that something crooked is not done because observers are present. Now, how do we that something crooked was not done, if we were not allowed to be part of the process?

The report goes on to say that “County officials and an attorney with Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott LLC, the law firm commissioned to handle a possible sale, opened the requests for qualification Thursday in Harrisburg.”

Well, we would like to know who were the County Officials, and who was the attorney – This is public information that the CC as the responsible party here, should make available to the public.

New Year Meeting - Angle At It Again

We have been informed that the regularly scheduled Council Meeting in January has been changed from Thursday January 6, 2011 to:

Monday January 3, 2011.

We have looked online and find any mention of this change, only to discover none. Do we have to wonder why? We guess we know why...Angle wants to keep The People away. Not happening. ;-)

Stop Being Afraid - Stand Up To Him

We The People want to believe that most of CC is trying, if nothing else, to do the right thing. The problem is, that they have Mr. Angle to contend with, and we understand that. 

But what exactly does that mean? It means that Angle has such an extreme personalty, CC just not to deal with it, cave in, and so does the county executive, and his team. That in itself is wrong, however, in the case of dealing with Angle, it is understandable.

What we will suggest to all members of CC, is that the only way to deal with this mean-spirited little person, is to stand up to him. He gets away with all the things he has, because you have not stood up to him, appearing week and afraid of him. STOP being afraid.

Angle is nothing more than a disturbed little man with some serious mental issues, who believes that one must use muscle to resolve all problems. Consider that he believes he has complete autocratic control, with absolute emergency power. Who exactly would ever have that type of control you ask...only a dictator. Look up the definition, you will see for yourself.

In our opinion, he really should be under the care of a psychiatrist, and possibly medicated. We're not trying to be funny here, or mean, or hateful...we are merely expressing our observation of the situation, as well as articulating what most people who know him beleive, but are fearful to say. Yes, Mr. Angle is a mental case.

Why do we believe this? Because only a disturbed person takes pride in putting fear in the hearts of anyone who disagrees with him, and hurting others by using his influence to distroy thier lives. But have you taken notice of this small group of nobodies, as Angle would say, who have stood up to Angle fearlessly. And what has Mr. Angle been able to do about it?...absolutely nothing. Why? because while only a small group of nobodies, we are The People. And when awaken, The People are giant killers, and this little giant is going down.

As we understand it, many on CC secretly admire us for our courage, and while we may appreciate you admiration, we prefer that you follow our example. We ask simply that you conduct yourselves in way that is responsible, a way that truly serves The People, and that we The People can also admire.

CC, it's time to face your fear, then put your fear behind you, and stand up to be counted. Remember that what you run away from today, you will only run into tomorrow. Stand up fearlessly, and help us put an end to this little maniac.

Mr. Angle Has Another Angle

Hey "We The People" out their...not so fast. It appears now that we were duped by Mr. Angle again. We deduce that he does not want the people to know what is going on with the bids, so as president of CC, he asked the law firm to open the bids in Harrisburg where they are based.

We came to that conclusion because we know that Mr. Angle had them come down for his so called town meetings, on our tax dollars. So there is absolutely no reason that he couldn't have them open the bids in Northampton County, where the people could have been represented.

Not only did Mr. Angle have it moved to Harrisburg, but he also made sure that it was a last minute move, so that the Coalition, or any other member of the community, would not have enough time to make arrangements to be present.

Interestingly enough, the Express Times reporter Sara Cassi, told a member of the Coalition, Jack Dalessandro, that she new about the move as early as the beginning of this week, so why wasn't anyone else aware, including other members of council. If it smells like fish, it must be fishy.

Angle is so shrewed that he used Mr. Dietrich as an inexperience, and expendable point-man, leaving him out in the open to be consumed by the wrath of the people, while he (Angle) sits back and smokes his cigar laughing at Mr. Dietrich, and the people too. It is said Mr. Angle, that he who laughs last, laughs best. No we're not laughing now...but we're smiling, and as long as we smile, you have to wonder what we're up to. Do you really want to know what we're up to? We'll tell you, no problem...we're up to firing you - in May, or in November, or by recall, but you will be fired for doing the undermining things you do to the people who pay the bills...the taxpayers of Norco.

Mr. Angle, your not kidding anyone but yourself, you represent no one in the county but yourself, and that sir is quite clear. The People however, know who the crooked politician leading the young inexperience flock astray is, rest assured that your days are numbered, and you will pay, it's just a matter of when. Hopefully for The People's sake, it will be sooner than later.

Mr. Dietrich, we apologize if there were any postings on our blog that were not deserved. We ask that you understand that the people of the county are quite frankly, sick and tired of the misrepresentation they are receiving. We are certainly lacking in trust. Know also that Mr. Angle is using you to get what he wants, as he is also using others on CC. Open your eyes and you too will see what we see.

Our spokes person was supposed to receive a call from Mr. Dietrich, informing him of the time and place so that we could have someone present during the opening of any bids that may have come in.

Legitimate Questions

The Coalition began it's involvement in the county addressing some of their own concerns, and in the process discovered the needs of others. Believing greatly in the established laws of our great country, we began to use the proper channels to deal with existing issues. Never did we dream that we would today be involved in such an honorable cause.

Gracedale has been in the caring hands of the county since 1873. While it came into some financial troubles in recent times, we have to wonder how that happened.

It is an established fact that Gracedale has bailed out other departments of the county, on many more than one occasion. We agree that there has been some mismanagement of Gracedale, but that mismanagement has occurred, first and foremost on the part of CC. Let us consider that the CC chair has stated on numerous occasions (too many to count) that government cannot manage Gracedale as good as the private sector could. Well, lets explore that thought:

• First, does that mean that CC is not capable of understanding how the private sector does things, and then implement identicle processes?
• When the chair says that government can't manage Gracedale, is he in essence saying that he, and the rest of council are not intelligently capable of managing Gracedale like anyother project?
• And, isn't it true that the role of CC is to legislate, not administrate?
• So then let the county executive, (who on the surface appears much more capable of leading a good management team than the chair) find and lead a good management team without interference from CC.
• If the CE can't lead, and manage a good management team, then CC should shed light on that fact without predjuduce, and the people by way of the vote will replace the CE with one who can facilitate our needs.

What about the sixty million taxpayer dollars in the slush fund, isn't it in place for situations such as this. And why is it that this slush fund is growing year after year? Is it that you are not spending it wisely on the needs of the county (which is mismanagement)? Or, is it that you continue to tax the people at a rate that is "overtaxation"?

Just some legitammate questions - food for thought ;-)

The people in our free land not only have a right to their opinion, they are the bosses of government. BO and Angle will soon discover this.

Who's Responsable

Now it seems, the Coalition is reasonable for RAJ's arrest. We plotted with Sears, and with PBurgs Police dept, to catch RAJ in the act of accidentally stealing something.

Give us a break...we have no desire to continue to discuss this unfortunate event, however, we are not going to accept blame for something we are not responsible for.

We had absolutely nothing to do with this event, and we have no intention of continuing to report on this. Please Mr. Angle, please Bernie, stop commenting on this event so that others can too. You may not realize it but you are both fueling the fire, your the reason this has gone on for as long as it has...STOP IT.

We believe that our youth are our future, as such, we are responsible to guide them in the right direction, especially when they stray from the correct path.

We can only hope that this young man will learn a valuable lesson from from his misguided decision, and that should be that there are consequences to every action in life. This is in all probability going to be a minor consequence. However, know that as human beings we have a tendency to become arrogant in our behavior when we get away with things that are morally incorrect, usually leading us to do things that are more serious in consequence. 

RAJ - Know that everyone makes mistakes, please learn from this, and move on with your life in a productive direction. And take comfort in knowing that the reason that this event has received so much attention is because unfortunately for you, your dad is very unpopular due to his actions. We wish you well.

Mr. Ohare Is Losing It

We don't visit Mr. Bernie O'Hares blog because it is filled with lies, bigotry, distasteful, and disgraceful garbage, but unlike CC we do listen to people. It has been brought to our attention that Bernie has supposedly removed our blog from his blog, meaning that he had a link on his blog that led to ours, and he decided to remove it.

First Bernie, we did not ask you to link to us, and secondly, thank you so much for removing the link. We want absolutely nothing what so ever to do with your garbage can of a blog, and that is exactly what your blog is.

COAF, representing the people has forewarned Mr. Angle that we will take the Constitutional path to remove him, as well as other members of CC should they force us to. The Home Rule Charter does provide processes to that end, then there is the power of the vote, and that Bernie is called democracy. 

Weren't you at the meeting when Angle stated that in a democracy we must listen to the people...and do the will of the people. Right...like he really cares about anyone but himself.

You portray our Coalition as attacking Angle, well your wrong. He has been attacking us at his will year after year, and we have been passive. But when we say no more, and go from a defensive position to an offensive one, we are attacking him. Say what you will Bernie...nevertheless, we will expose Angle for what he is - a crooked politician. And unfortunately, his son is apparently following in his fathers steps. And you probably blame the cashier for that too.

Lets face facts Bernie, if Angle really wants to do the will of the people, all he has to do is pursue an avenue that will give the people what they have been asking for in this matter, an opportunity to democratically vote on the Gracedale question, the rest of the CC will surely follow, as has been the case in the past.

But instead, what does he do? He puts feeble-minded people like you up to doing his dirty work. He attempts to put roadblock after roadblock in the way of the people, but it's not working Bernie. How do I now, well guess what we just did Bernie? We established a good relationship over this weekend with a group of people from the slate belt that would like to see him gone too. Don't take our word for it...the future will prove it.

If you really want to help Angle Bernie, tell him that it is time to wave the flag of truce, back off of this Gracedale issue, and perhaps the people will loosen the noose, otherwise, he will hang himself. Tell him that we have been patient with his prehistoric behavior for far too long. Perhaps there was a point in time when to some his umbrageous behavior was funny, but now we are tired of his buffoon antics. In plain English - we are just tired of being bullied...we will take it no more.

Tell him Bernie, that he can not, as he is slowly but surely discovering, break our will, nor our spirit...for WE ARE THE PEOPLE - HIS BOSSES.

Lastly...we are not responsible for that other blog you believe we are authoring, but we take our hat off to whoever it is. We find it peculiar that you are afraid of debating him openly. Come to think of it, no we're not. You won't debate him because you know he will bring out the truth, and the truth may even put many of you in jail, where all criminals belong.

"Council President Ron Angle denies allegations that a political vendetta is fueling his efforts to eliminate a position in the Northampton County executive's Cabinet.Angle introduced Thursday an ordinance that would do away with the "director of court services," which he called a "hall-walker's job" that previous county executives have used to reward their friends. The ordinance garnered no discussion during council's last meeting of the year.

Angle also planned to ax the position during this year's budget talks. He promised to never again do heavy financial lifting on behalf of his colleagues when they defied him and restored the position.

As usual, Angle was acting on his own behalf, serving his own benefit. Consider - why would his colleagues who normally side with him, suddenly defy him, especially if they asked him to do any heavy financial lifting for them? They didn't...perhaps some are starting to see the evil in this poor excuse of a politician, who gives ALL politicos a bad name.

Archie Disidore III oversees county archives and is responsible for financial reporting in civil and criminal divisions, orphans court, the register of wills and protection from abuse matters, according to the county website. His annual salary is $65,486 plus $24,848 in benefits.

Disidore's wife, Susan, is a supervisor in Lower Mount Bethel Township, where Angle owns land. Angle and Susan Disidore have publicly tangled over her proposal to limit development in the township.

Councilman Lamont McClure, a Democrat and vocal Angle critic, called the pair "bitter political rivals." He said Angle, a Republican, wants to put Disidore out of work to punish his wife. "Clearly Ron is taking what I think are extraordinary steps to eliminate this position," McClure said.

If what Mr. McClure is saying here is true, and we believe it is, Mr. Angle should be investigated for corruption by the State Attorney Generals office. Should he be found guilty...he should be jailed just like any other criminal.

Angle denied the claim and said he's known Archie Disidore's family since the men were children. "[That] I'm not fond of Archie Disidore's wife has nothing to do with Archie Disidore," Angle said Wednesday.


County Executive John Stoffa declined to comment on Angle's motives. He said the position is vital to accomplishing one of his top goals for next year: centralizing the extensive archives. The paper records are stored in an Allentown warehouse and scattered throughout county buildings in Easton.


"I need the director of court services," Stoffa said Wednesday. "I need Archie. It's a Cabinet-level position."

Hey Mr. Stoffa, grow a pair, and stand up to this little tyrant...The People will be your supporters if you do so.
Angle noted that Stoffa could find another place for Disidore in the work force. His proposal would make court services Director of Administration John Conklin's responsibility, as it was in the four months before Disidore was hired.
Does Angle mean that Stoffa should create a different position for this worker? What sense does that make?


Councilman John Cusick said Conklin is too busy to take on another duty. As the county's top administrator, Conklin negotiates union contracts and overseas emergency management, elections, economic development and other key departments.

Keep this up Mr. Cusick and you can possibly be our next County Executive. The Coalition will support you if you continue to do the right thing ;-).


"My sense is that the [court services] position is necessary and provides a necessary oversight function," said Cusick, who initially forwarded Disidore's resume to Stoffa.


County Controller Stephen Barron, another Angle rival, said if the position were eliminated, with it would go safeguards put in place after a former chief deputy clerk in the criminal division was convicted of taking more than $100,000 from the county coffers from 2003 to 2005.


Angle's distaste for the position surfaced during the summer of 2008, when Stoffa recommended council approve the hire. At the time the vote was unanimous, except for Angle, who said he abstained because his colleagues suggested his clashes at the township level could present a conflict of interest.

Angle has many conflicts of interest, it's a matter of time before they catch up to him...but they will.

Angle Says Foe Revealed '97 Arrest

"Northampton County Councilman Ron Angle defended himself Thursday against revelations that he pleaded guilty to reckless driving and disorderly conduct following a shoplifting arrest in 1997.
Wall Township, N.J., police Sgt. Eric Ertle confirmed the department arrested Angle in July 1997.

At the time, Angle was a member of the Bangor Area School Board. He was elected to County Council in 1999.

A brash politician known for hurling accusations at his political opponents, Angle has often called Democratic political opponents dishonest and corrupt.
According to media reports, Angle was arrested at a Monmouth County, N.J., outlet mall and charged with taking $125 in merchandise, and then fleeing in his vehicle. He paid $1,060 in fines.

He was not found guilty of shoplifting, but pleaded guilty to reckless driving and a charge similar to disorderly conduct.
Angle said he did not shoplift anything.

"I didn't take merchandise," Angle said. "I was charged with a whole raft of things … the end result is what are you guilty of … I was reckless driving, and I do agree I was disorderly."

Angle declined to discuss the details of what happened at the outlet mall or how he came to be arrested for shoplifting.

"Does it not sound bizarre? It was bizarre," Angle said. "The bottom line is what I was guilty of was reckless driving and being disorderly."
Angle, who faces Democrat Charles Dertinger in District 4 County Council election, blamed the disclosure on political opponents.

"There is no doubt in my mind Charlie Dertinger is involved in this … he ran a dirty campaign in 1999 and he will run a dirty campaign again,"Angle said.
Dertinger said he had nothing to do with revealing Angle's arrest and did not even know about it until contacted by reporters.

"I'm getting a little tired of him trying to blame me every time something goes wrong. I had nothing to do with it. He needs to take responsibility for his actions," Dertinger said. "He has made a career of making enemies rather than working with people, and he can't deal with it when it backfires."
"At this point he has become pathetic," Dertinger said.

Angle said he has learned his lesson.
"You can't get out of line, it doesn't matter what's wrong or what is going on," Angle said. "You can't get out of line. I had got out of line."

Great Question

Question - Should the Express Times conduct a poll asking thier readers if they feel that Councilman Ron Angle should be recalled from office?

We feel the answer is yes, perhaps they will read this blog and hear what will make thier readers appreciate them more. It would certainly be interesting to see how the rest of CC would respond to such a poll.

If the express times does not conduct it...perhaps we should.

Council - Be Prepared

Ladies and gentlemen of council, please prepare yourselves, for the bed you make is the one you sleep in.

Our spokesperson was correct when he stated during the 12/09/10 CC meeting that "we are not the enemy of council". However, to the people it becomes daily, more and more apparent that the CC is the enemy of the people.

 The Coalition is in the process of exploring and examining the Home Rule Charter just a bit closer to plan the recall of members of council who refuse to do the will of WE THE PEOPLE, should it come to that of course. No, we have no desire to pursue that course of action, however, make no mistake about it, we are determined to do so if CC continues to dismiss us as merely peasants that don't matter. As intelligent people, should you consider yourselves so, you should comprehend by now that COAF is not going away - We are The People, and we will continue to represent The People...We are your bosses. Know that you can not continue to brush aside The People who have elected you to represent them, we will not stand for it.

We are tremendously disappointed especially in Mr. Gilbert, for he sat with us in all the hospitality we could provide, and promised that he would do all he could relating to our Gracedale concerns before his elections. And yes, we supported him, only to discover that he would blindly follow a blind man...continue to follow him Mr. Gilbert and you will fall off the cliff with him when he falls...and yes, he will fall. Continue to follow your arrogant leader Mr. Gilbert, and you too will fall, you won't be more than a one term-er. Yes, your actions have caused us to consider recalling you for lying to us, among others of course. But change course and maybe we will reconsider...we have demonstrated after all, to be reasonable people.

Mr. Cusick on the other hand may be our next County Executive if he continues to stand up against the tyrant Angle. We will support those who deserve it. Thanks Mr. Cusick, we hope you are for real.

Mr Dietrick...we have reached out to you, why haven't you listened? You know what you have to do...as NIKE would say, just do it, and perhaps we can support you too.

Mrs. Thiery, although we think you're a nice lady - as Mr. Angles left hand, you too will be a one term-er, unless of course we remove you as well before hand. You know, You may not realize it, but you are supposed to do more than just bobble your head up and down, you are suppose to think like an individual with brains. We kind of feel bad for Mr. Thiery, he seems like such a nice guy.

Last Open County Council Meeting 2010

On Thursday December 9, 2010, the CC held the last open council meeting of the year. Our spokesperson Rev. Mario Martinez spoke briefly...he started out by saying that in addition to COAF, he also represents close to twenty thousand who have signed our petition. He pointed out that just as Mr. James had stated earlier in the meeting, the Coalition does have 10k+ names filed with the voter registration office.

Rev. Martinez continued - "In front of you here today I have another 81, you can do the math. We will complete our goal. We have 40 days left, and we anticipate that out of 500 to 600 petitions that we still have circulating, if we just get 200 of those back, we will complete this mission. I have implored you before, please, reconsider your position. Make this happen in a way that the people will stand behind you also...We're not your enemies, we are The People of Northampton County. The petition represents the desires of the people. I heard Mr. Angle speak last week, and I was again very proud. He spoke of democracy, and he spoke of the will of the people. I was very impress by him. But, that was dealing with farmland preservation, and that was dealing before that, with 400 members of Mt Bethel. You heard them too. It seems that when it comes to the Gracedale matter, the people don't matter. Sad. Farmland preservation, while it is important, is it more important than life preservation? Which is what we're talking about with Gracedale. I am not here, as I stated before, as an enemy of this chambers, I am here as a proud American, asking you to do simply what The People are asking you to do...before The People have to do it."

The Coalition can only hope that this County Council can fully understand that this is not a Republican or Democrat question...it is a moral question. This is an issue that makes true Americans true, especially when they stand for what they beleive in, even if alone. The real leaders of our great country have often had to stand alone, but in the end, they have prevailed. No. this is not about aligning yourself with a party, but with your heart.

The Saga Continues - Part Two

The People of NORCO and a minority of Council members say:

"Well, Ronnie, why don't we move a bit slower when it comes to this issue of Gracedale?   Many of the people we represent have reservations about this very quick move?   Perhaps there is something we could do to turn Gracedale's economic woes into a success story for our beloved county residents who are in need of precisely this type of facility.

If the County owns it, family members can feel more comfortable, because they will share in the ownership in terms of their concerns, fears, hopes, and desires.  In that way, the county would no longer have to concern itself with a "20%" hike!

If after a year or two with the proper personnel and marketing plan, Gracedale could remain the "Jewel Of The County," a fitting title which Council and you, Ronnie, always use to describe it. 

THIS IS A VERY REAL POSSIBILITY IF ALL INTERESTED AND CONCERNED PARTIES would meet--without your yelling, screaming, interrupting,,and attempting to ruin people's private lives because of violating their due process rights: the American right of freedom of speech. 

We would ask you--who was it who signed off and agreed to all the labor contracts over these many years with never a mention of the possibility of these financial problems now coming home to roost?

Who should have been continually hiring and supervising the existing personnel  at Gracedale, including the sound management of all the top brass, as well?

Who was in charge of insisting that all budgetary concerns were resolved within the administrative and managerial LIMITS, which should have been provided to those doing those particular jobs?

Why didn't any one of our elected or appointed officials see this fiscal problem looming while they were collecting those fat salaries and benefits they were enjoying?

Past administrations share in this blame, not just the current group of officials.  Nevertheless, what our elected and appointed officials were supposed to be doing over the years was to comply with their own job descriptions, and in this they seem to have FAILED miserably!

If all other County agencies,  buildings, and other holdings can remain as they are without change of any kind, it does seem odd that ONLY Gracedale, the place which brings comfort and hope to our elderly, should be singled out for such a radical solution!

You prefer to do more for drug abuse, illegal immigration, and prisoners, rather than for the loved ones of your own constituents!

And, perhaps  you spend too much time, Ronnie, worrying about churches and the clergy than you should.  I know I don't have to remind the great American and Marine that you are that there is a separation between Church and State in this country.  So forget about church addresses, and worry about "the widows and the orphans."  Stick to the point, with the matter at hand, rather than trying to verbally abuse someone who is trying to keep you focused on helping their beloved relatives!

 Ronnie, Gracedale is not YET privatized, and yet your uncle--according to your own words--has been there for quite some time.   Moreover, you have also stated that you yourself want to reside there, too, when your time comes!  

Yet you have also stated that a private facility could do just as well as Gracedale, "if not better!"   By your own admission to the public and in RAMBLINGS, when John Stoffa talks to Queen Elizabeth, it was said that the care for all would be equal to if not better in a private facility! 

Why then has your uncle been at Gracedale for all these years when a private facility could have done just as well, "if not better"?    What has stopped you from placing him in such a private institution?  Why would you have kept him there all these years, one of your loved ones?

Ronnie, how do you explain this glaring contradiction?   We think, Ronnie, that the time has come for you to clarify what it is you really do think.

The Saga Continues - Part One

As the deadline approaches regarding the fate of Gracedale, the saga and drama of the constant reiterations by the positions are summarized below.

The two entities portrayed are County Council President, Ron Angle - here known as Ronnie - and the citizens of NORCO and a minority of Council officials.

Ronnie says: If I could save Gracedale from privatization, believe me, I would. However, economically in this county of ours--as is the case in many county nursing facilities throughout our Commonwealth--government is simply not equipped to operate a nursing facility. We can no longer afford it, and, quite frankly,we lack the ability or intelligence to do so. Never mind that Gracedale's employees are the greatest, that the care is excellent, and that the residents--the most important players of all in this County Drama--are all receiving the very best of care.   After all, Gracedale has just received A FIVE STAR RATING IN RESIDENT CARE.   FIVE STARS is the highest rank that a nursing facility can receive according to MEDICARE.GOV.

To maintain this facility, including changes which would have to be made, our County TAXES would have to be raised by 20%, although this 20% increase would not be earmarked just for Gracedale. This 20% figure includes all of our county's responsibilities, including benefits, salaries, and wages for all agencies in our county. 

It's the unions at Gracedale--it is they who are just not cooperating the way they should, if, that is, they want  to keep their jobs.  They are not willing to come forward with their fair share of give-backs. Does anyone really believe that I would do any harm to any resident or employee at Gracedale just because I want to privatize it?

This is just like the DETENTION CENTER that I wanted to bring into my region, Upper Mt. Bethel. I wanted to bring more employment opportunities to my people. They just weren't able to comprehend my TRUE motives.

 Finally, returning to Gracedale, my UNCLE is there. Why in God's name would I do anything which would harm any member of my own family?"

Hey...What Are They Doing Here?

Mr. Angle can't seem to get enough of the "The People". He appeared a bit sluggish, and he left the Moore Township meeting Tuesday night 12/07/10, quite quickly...less than fifteen minutes after being shocked by the fact that members of COAF were present at the meeting.

He was supposed to speak on the farmland preservation issue, but instead, it seemed that the Moore Township residents wanted to know more about what was going on with Gracedale. He was question by a MT taxpayer, who certainly appeared more interested in learning the status of the GD issue.

Here we go again...listen closely

As pictured above, Mr. Angle appeared tired of having to explain his mis-truths, yet again. We have to wonder what he's going to look like after the election in May/November, after he loses his re-election attempt. It now seems like campaigning against Mr. Angle is slowly becoming an alternative mission for COAF, regardless of the Gracedale outcome, especially if Mr. Angle continues to ignore, and dismiss The People. 

The Supervisors, and the Residents of MT treated COAF with care and respect, something they are not accustomed to at the NorCo CC meetings. They gave COAF an honest opportunity to share their voices, and seemed to concur that in our American democracy, the taxpayers should have a say by way of a vote, specifically because we are asking for the right to vote on the issue. 

The group informed the residents that they have 10k+ verified petition names, as well as 80 petitions on hand. A question asked was "how many names does a petition hold?" they were told 107. The Coalition also informed the meeting attendees that there are also another six hundred or so petitions currently being circulated, extending the point that if only 200 of the 600 petitions come back by the deadline of January 17th, 2011, the Coalition will most likely accomplish their mission - Some then asked to sign the petition.

Gracedale Matters

One of our great leaders once said "Our lives begin to end the day that we become silent to the things that matter"MLKjr. We now ask, does Gracedale matter?

No. not the building itself, that is merely an object in life, but the spirit of the work that is done there for the sake of the people it serves...yes, that's it. And yes, it matters.

Nine out of ten NorcCo taxpayers, as well as COAF believe that two thirds of CC don't understand this. CC see things only through dollars and cents glasses, which are probably correct to wear when it comes to the material things in life. However, when it comes to the core reality of life, it causes them to lose sight of the single thing that matters most in life, life itself.

According to the moral values of life, we are to protect life until the very end. Consider that if you were one minute away from the end of your term on earth, exactly how important would dollars and cents be to you? Correct, dollars and cents would probably be the thing one would be spending their last moment thinking about. It is meaningless in the grand scheme of life.

Gracedale matters because life matters. Yes, we do expect, and even demand that our government officials look after our dollars and cents properly, but to better serve us "The People", not themselves or their agendas. There are probably a half dozen items in the budget we can do without, but we can not do without the very people that for years have themselves bought into our government. Now that very government wants to simply dismiss the value of a place called Gracedale. A place that our residents have called home, and has been in the hands of our county since 1873. A place which brings life to an end in a dignified manner, providing the very best quality of life settings in the entire state of Pennsylvania until the very end.

Currently representing tens of thousands of NorCo taxpayers, the Coalition wants to be crystal clear in the signal we are sending CC, hear the voice of the people, or pay the consequences that come by way of ignoring us. America is the great nation that it is because it has a Great Boss - The People.

CC should take notice that the voting taxpayers are tired of eating the garbage that is being painfully shoved down our throats. We are now "hellbent" on monitoring their actions. If they plug their ears not hear us now, come May, and then November, year after year, they definitely won't be able to hear us, because they will be out looking for another source of income. Any member of council that believes that they are above the people will soon be rudely awakened. Please, feel free to test our will, and our determined resolve. As Mr. Angle has just begun to discover...it is endless.

Over-Taxation Without Representation

Ladies and gentlemen, or better said, TAXPAYERS of NorCo, are you aware that there is no real need for a tax increase to sustain Gracedale, or any other department of the County because there is a $60 million dollar slush fund that continues to grow year after year - yes, growing because we are being over-taxed. Why doesn't Mr. Angle tell you that? Perhaps because he has his own plans for the money.

Again, we have to ask, why is CC spending money on farmland preservation if we lack funds to do so? And why is Mr. Angle always in favor of doing so? Could it be that because he owns farmland he sees this matter as a good opportunity to once again help himself?

The Coalition has spoken to tens of thousands of people over the last two months, and we have determine that truly 9 out of 10 people are not sure who Mr. Angle or the CC serves, but are dead certain that CC doesn't serve them. This is a shame, or worst yet, it's a disgrace.

Doesn't the Constitution begin with "WE THE PEOPLE"? Are the members of council so obtuse that they don't realize "The People" are their superiors? What does it take to make them responsive to the demands of the people? Does Mr. Angle in his arrogance believe that duplicity is a characteristic that is favorable by the people? Well it's not. Try honesty Mr. Angle! Oh, we almost forgot that you don't understand the meaning of honesty - we also remember the Nazareth overwhelming poll that never was?

We The People will demonstrate our resolve in May...You will see just what true resolve is Mr. Angle, and so will the rest of council. Again, make no mistake about it...we do not bluff, we act according to our inalienable rights.
